WHAT IS THE TRUE MESSAGE OF THE

BOOK OF MORMON?

Is the true message of the book Mormon overlooked by the present day Mormon people? The message is not just another testament of Christ, but far far more, containing over 1000 years of the history of a great and mighty nation, of the people, their struggles, their wars, their destructions, and of the great blessings which await their descendants, the modern-day American Indians and those who are descended from them!

The message of the Book of Mormon is very plain and simple, so that even a child can understand it. The true message contained in the Book of Mormon, is to tell the present day American Indians, and peoples of American Indian descent, about their forefathers, their hardships, their sacrifices, that they fasted and prayed to the Lord, about their children, and the Lord blessed them, and covenanted with them, for their children the American Indians of this day. Every word was written by the American Indians fathers, about their history, their blessings, and their birthright, and the wonderful blessings that are in store for their children the American Indians.

The Mormon Church was organized on the sixth day of April 1830.

It was so important to take the wonderful message of the Book of Mormon to the Lamanites (American Indians) that by September of 1830, just six months after the Church was formed, a revelation (Doctrine and Covenants section 30) calling four missionaries (on the first distant mission) to take the message of the Book of Mormon to the American Indians. These four Mormon elders left from Fayette, New York on their mission in the later part of October, they traveled about 2500 miles through a comparative wilderness, mostly on foot, in the worst season of the year, without purse or script, subsisting on frozen corn bread and raw pork, through the snow, without shelter or fire, visiting two of the Indian Nations, quote;"whose interest became intense, the excitement spreading to the whole tribe". Being very successful among the Indians they were soon ordered out of the Indian country by the United States Army who called them peace disturbers. They returned to Ohio the following March of 1831.

The original Mormon leaders stressed time and time again, to take the message to the American Indians. They also considered it their mission, knowing the promises of the Book of Mormon in relation to the blessings and promises of God, to the American Indians of this latter-day. Also the importance associated with numbering themselves with the American Indians who have a superior birthright, so that they might also partake of the blessings, and promises that God has given the sons and daughters of the Lamanites (the American Indians) and all those who are numbered with them.

The Book of Mormon was written by the ancient

Prophets to their descendants the American Indians

The title page of the book of Mormon plainly states "Wherefore, it is an abridgment of the record of the people of Nephi, and also of the Lamanites -- Written to the Lamanites (the American Indians), who are a remnant of the house of Israel; and also to Jew and Gentile."

Who are the Lamanites?

Answer, They are the indigenous peoples of Ancient North and South America, and those who are descended from them. Who originally came here from Israel. They are the children of Judah, and Manasseh. They include all of the full-blooded American Indians, all of the Mexicans that are descended from Indians, all of the South American Indians, and any people in North and South America who are descended from Indians(Lamanites). They have a superior birthright, and according to the Book of Mormon they will inherit this land, for in the Book of Mormon, this land is promised to them.

Who are the Jews?

Answer, They are the descendants of Judah the son of Jacob(Israel). Judah's children became the tribe of Judah(the Jews), one of the twelve tribes of Israel.

Who are the Gentiles?

Answer, According to Webster's; "Especially a Christian as distinguished from a Jew, they are mostly the people who emigrated to this land from Europe. Doctrine and Covenants 109 Vs. 60" Now These Words, O Lord, we have spoken before thee, concerning the revelations and commandments which thou hast given unto us, Who Are Identified with the Gentiles"! According to the Doctrine and Covenants, the early Mormon people considered themselves to be identified with the Gentiles. Throughout the Book of Mormon it occasionally mentions the word Gentile or Gentiles.

Far more frequently are phrases such as "my people who are remnant of Jacob", " my people who are of the house of Israel", "the covenant people of the Lord", "a remnant of the house of Israel", "remnant of our seed", "the fruit of thy loins", "my people", "house of Israel", "remnant of the house of Joseph", "our seed", "mine own people", and similar phrases throughout the Book of Mormon, which refers to the descendants of the indigenous peoples of America (the American Indians, or descendants of the American Indians(Lamanites)).

The Gentiles are mainly listed as a people who must repent of their sins, in order to be numbered with the people of the Lord(The descendants of the American Indians).

The book of Mormon was written to... the American Indians (Lamanites). The book of Mormon is all about the American Indians forefathers, their birthright, the promises that were made to their fathers in their behalf, and written about the covenants and blessings that are their's, and their's alone. That through these covenants and promises, the Gentiles if they repent, will be numbered among them, and partake of the same blessings and promises that were made to them.

Let no one make the mistake that the Book of Mormon pertains to the Gentiles in the same way that it pertains to the descendants and children of the holy prophet's who made covenants and received promises from the Lord for their children and descendants of this latter-day!

"We have learned from the title page of the Book Mormon that the American Indians are the first people listed for which it is intended: "written to the Lamanites (the American Indians), who are a remnant of the house of Israel; and also to Jew and Gentile." The prophet Joseph Smith affirmed that the title page is a "literal translation" and "not by any means a modern composition" of himself or any other recent man. From the onset of the early church he also spoke clearly on what the book of Mormon is:

"The Book of Mormon is a record of the forefathers of our Western tribes of Indians; having been found through the ministration of an holy Angel, and translated into our own language by the gift and power of God, after having been hid up in the Earth for the last 1400 years, containing the word of God which was delivered unto them (the ancestors of the American Indians). By it we learn that our Western tribes of Indians are descendants from that Joseph who was sold into Egypt, and the land of America is a promised land unto them, and unto it all the tribes of Israel will come, with as many of the Gentiles as shall comply with the requisitions of the new covenant." (History of the church, vol. 1, p. 315)

We are now living in that age when the Book of Mormon revelations and prophecies of Joseph Smith have and will come to pass. The fastest-growing areas of the Mormon Church are in those areas heavily populated by the descendants of the people of the Book of Mormon (American Indians). Recently released L. D. S. church statistics show approximately one-third of the membership now resides in the countries of Mexico, Central America, and South America. Even modern experts who have studied and recognized rates of the rapid increase in Mormon church membership in Latin America have predicted that at some point in the early part of the 21st century the majority of the worldwide Mormon Church will be people of American Indian descent. It is evident that the Mormon Church has been established primarily for the descendants of Lehi (a Book of Mormon prophet).

Book of Mormon, third Nephi, vs. 11 -- 12;

"And then I will remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, 0 house of Israel, and I will bring my gospel unto them.

"And I will show unto thee, 0 house of Israel, that the Gentiles shall not have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, 0 house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fullness of my gospel."

What does the Book of Mormon say about the latter-day Gentiles (the Mormons), (and all of the break off groups) who claim to be a part of Christ's church?

Mormon 8 vs. 28-41

28. Yea, it shall come in a day when the power of God shall be denied and churches become defiled and lifted up in the pride of their hearts; yea, even in a day when leaders of churches and teachers shall rise up in the pride of their hearts, even to the envying of them who belong to their churches.

29 Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be heard of fires, and tempests, and vapors of smoke in foreign lands;

30.And there shall also be heard of wars, rumors of wars, and earthquakes in diverse places.

31. Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be great polutions on the face of the Earth: there shall be murders (abortions), and robbing, and lying, and decievings, and whoredoms, and all manner of abominations; when there shall be many who will say, Do this, or do that, and it mattereth not , for the Lord will uphold such at the last day. But wo unto such, for they are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity.

32Yea, it shall

come in a day when there shall be churches built up that shall say:

Come unto me, and for your money (tithing) you shall be forgiven of your sins.

33

.O ye wicked and perverse and stiffnecked people, why have ye built up churches unto yourselves to get gain? Why have ye transfigured the holy word of God (changes to the book of Mormon, and the Mormon religion), that ye might bring damnation upon your souls? Behold, look ye unto the revelations of God; for behold, the time cometh at that day when all these things must be fulfilled.

34

.Behold, the Lord has shown unto me great and marvelous things concerning that which must shortly come, and that day when these things shall come forth among you.

35

.Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know you're doing (the modern Gentiles that belong to the Mormon Church).

36

.And I know that ye do walk in the pride of your hearts; and there are none save a few only who do not lift themselves up in the pride of their hearts, unto the wearing of very fine apparel, unto envying, and strifes, and malice, and persecutions, and all manner of iniquities; and your churches, yea, even every one (even every ward house), have become polluted because of the pride of your hearts.

37. For behold, ye do love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel, and the adorning of your churches, more than ye love the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted.

38

.0 ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God (the Mormon Church)? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than the misery which never dies -- because of the praise of the world?

40

.Yea, why do ye build up your secret abominations to get gain, and cause that widows should mourn before the Lord, and also the blood of their fathers and their husbands to cry unto the Lord from the ground, for vengeance upon your heads?

41

.Behold, the sword of vengeance hangeth over you; and the time soon cometh that he avengeth the blood of the Saints upon you, for he will not suffer their cries any longer.

(The Lord has presented this, in a format, that is so clear, and concise, that implicitly shows this reference, can mean no other church, than the Mormon Church, along with all of the groups that have broken off from the original Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and formed their own religions, priestcrafts, and cults, along with all, "save a few only" of the Gentiles which belong to them!)

Third Nephi chapter 16 vs. 10 through 20;

10

.And thus commandeth The Father that I should say unto you: At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel (which Gentiles other than the Mormon Church, could sin against his gospel?), and shall reject the fullness of my gospel, and shall be lifted up the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole Earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders (abortions), and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, and shall reject the fullness of my gospel, behold saith the Father, I will bring the fullness of my gospel from among them.

11.And then will

I remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, 0 house of Israel (the American Indians), and I will bring my gospel unto them.

12

.And I will show unto thee, 0 house of Israel (the American Indians), that the Gentiles shall not have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, 0 house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fullness of my gospel.

13

.But if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people (the American Indians), 0 house of Israel (the same American Indians).

Does this mean that the mighty Mormon Church, in all their loftiness, and pride, must humble themselves, repent of their evil sins, and be numbered with the lowly and downtrodden Lamanites (American Indians), in order to be saved upon this continent?

It most is assuredly does!---------------------------------

What does the book of Mormon say to the present day sons and daughters of the Lamanites (American Indians, and their descendants).

"Joseph Smith was God's prophet who did the difficult job of translating the Book of Mormon, from the gold plates, that the angel Moroni directed him to, and stated that a man could obtain more knowledge necessary for salvation, and get closer to God from reading the Book of Mormon Than any other book. He established the Mormon Church again on the Earth under God's direction, the same Church that Christ established with the American Indians forefathers.

The Mormon Church has put out many millions of Book's of Mormon, worldwide, and will yet put out many more Book's of Mormon to the American Indians, who are foretold to be gradually grafted in two save the Lord's vineyard, the Mormon Church. There are now over 700,000 Mormons in Mexico, and very soon millions of Indians in Mexico, and South America will be convinced of the book of Mormon, which will have already gone forth among them.

God has promised in the book of Mormon, that no one can keep him from fulfilling his covenant with the house of Israel (the American Indians).

Joseph Smith said a man can get closer to God, and obtain more knowledge necessary for salvation from reading the book of Mormon, than reading any other book.

Every word in the Book of Mormon was written by Indians, the blood fathers of the present day American Indians.

The Book of Mormon is the true and only religion of the American Indians fathers, and through their faith and prayers it is handed down to the present day American Indians, that they might know of the truths of God.

Anything that conflicts with was written in the book of Mormon is not of God.

The Indians of this last day are predicted both in the Book of Mormon, and the Mormon Doctrine and Covenants to accept, and build up the Mormon religion as revealed to Joseph Smith, and they shall not deny that which he had received, but they shall build up, and shall bring to light the true points of my doctrine, yea, and the only doctrine which is in me." D & C 10:62

And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, The Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

"Book of Mormon, title page, quote; "Written to the Lamanites, who are a remnant of the house of Israel, and also to Jew and Gentile."

The writers of the Book of Mormon wrote for the benefit of their seed, the present day American Indians. Second Nephi chapter 25, vs. 8 quote; "... Confine the words unto mine own people; for I know that they shall be of great worth unto them in the last days; for in that day shall they understand them..."

Second Nephi, chapter 28, vs. 2 quote; "The things which shall be written out of the book shall be of great worth unto the children of men, and especially unto our seed, which is a remnant of the house of Israel."

Second Nephi, chapter 30, vs. 3 -- 4 quote; "... There shall be many which shall believe the words which are written; and they shall carry them forth unto the remnant of our seed. And then shall the remnant of our seed know concerning us, how that we came out from Jerusalem, and that they are the descendants of the Jews."

Third Nephi, chapter 29, vs. 8 -- 9 quote; "Yea, and ye need not any longer hiss, nor spurn, nor make game of the Jews, nor any of the remnant of the house of Israel; for behold, the Lord remembereth his covenant unto them, and he will do unto them according to that which he hath sworn. Therefore ye need not suppose that ye can turn the right hand of the Lord unto the left, that he may not execute judgment unto the fulfilling of the covenant which he hath made unto the house of Israel.

Chapter 30 states that the Lord calls on the Gentiles of the last days to hear the words of Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, and turn from their wickedness and be numbered with God's people who are of the house of Israel.

Those who believe The Book of Mormon, believe as Christ states in the Book of Mormon, it should'nt be hidden under a basket, but the light should shine to light up the American Indian's house.

"The forefathers of the American Indians prayed in earnest that their descendants would receive and study the messages Of the Book of Mormon. The prophet Lehi spoke of the promises he received regarding his children and the continents of America (Book of Mormon second Nephi 1: 5): "... Yea, the Lord hath covenanted this land unto me, and my children forever, and also all those who should be led out of other countries by the hand of the Lord."

The Book of Mormon coming to the American Indians (house of Israel) has been one of the primary responsibilities of the Gentiles, (Book of Mormon third Nephi 16, vs. 4); we learn of the Gentiles blessings in second Nephi 3 vs. 12: "... In the latter-day shall the truth come unto the Gentiles, that the blessings of these things shall be made known unto them." The Gentiles were also promised great blessings, but are warned they could lose them and their chance to be numbered with The House of Israel should they sin against the Gospel of Christ (third Nephi 16, vs. 10 -- 15).

Lehi talked of how his ancestor Joseph (who was carried captive into Egypt) prophesied the coming forth of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith (Book of Mormon second Nephi chapter 3, vs. 4 -- 12). The words of the Bible and the Book of Mormon would grow together "unto the confounding of false doctrines and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to the knowledge of their fathers in the latter days, and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord."

There is a stronger than ever need for the Indians to reinforce the Mormon religion with their spiritual strength by accepting it as the only true religion on the earth today.

"The Hour Is Late....Time Nor Tide Wait For No Man. God wants the American Indians to know that they are his covenant people, numbered in the first covenant as recorded in the Book of Mormon.

The forefathers of the American Indians, who wrote the Book of Mormon to their descendants of this latter day (the American Indians), want them to know that they are God's covenant people, and that they will receive the great blessings that their forefathers had, if they repent and turn to God.

It is important for the American Indians to strengthen the life still left the Mormon Church, and save the Church.

First Nephi 10 vs. 14 quote:

"and after the house of Israel should be scattered they should be gathered together again; or, in fine, after the Gentiles had received the fullness of the gospel, the natural branches of the olive tree, or the remnants of the house of Israel, should be grafted in, or come to the knowledge of the true Messiah, their Lord, and their redeemer."

First Nephi 15 vs. 11 to 14 quote:

"Do ye not remember the things which the Lord hath said? -- If ye will not harden your hearts, and ask me in faith, believing that ye shall receive, with diligence in keeping my Commandments, surely these things shall be made known unto you."

The promises made to the American Indians in the Book of Mormon should be made known to them. Christ states in third Nephi chapter 12 vs. 15: "Behold, do men light a candle and put it under a bushel? Nay, but on a Candlestick, and it giveth light to all that are in the house;" The Book of Mormon should not be hid under a bushel basket, but the light of it should shine and light up the American Indians house.

"Behold, I say unto you, that the house of Israel was compared unto an olive tree, by the spirit of the Lord which was in our Father; and behold are we not broken off from the house of Israel, and are we not a branch of the house of Israel?"

"And now, the things which our Father meaneth concerning the grafting in of the natural branches through the fullness of the Gentiles, is, that in the latter days, when our seed shall have dwindled in un-belief, yea, for the space of many generations after the Messiah shall be manifested in body unto the Gentiles, and from the Gentiles unto the remnant of our seed --"

"and at that day shall the remnant of our seed know that they are of the house of Israel, and that they are the covenant people of the Lord; and then shall they know and come to the knowledge of their forefathers, and also to the knowledge of the gospel of their redeemer, which was ministered unto their fathers by him; wherefore, they shall come to the knowledge of their redeemer and the very points of his doctrine, that they may know how to come unto him and be saved."

Christ states in third Nephi chapter 15 vs. 24: "... And ye are numbered among those whom the Father hath given me. "Christ states, "my sheep know my voice and a stranger they will not follow."

The American Indians will be glad to read in the Book of Mormon how many times they are called his people of these last days and the great promises God makes to you.

"The Book of Mormon people wanted their children, the American Indians of these latter days, to know about their fathers. Jacob chapter 4; vs. 2-3, quote: "... but we can write a few words upon plates, which will give our children, (the American Indians) a small degree of knowledge concerning us, or concerning their fathers -- now in this thing we do rejoice; and we labor diligently to engraven these words upon plates, hoping that our children will receive them with thankful hearts, and look upon them that they may learn with joy and not with sorrow, neither with contempt, concerning their first parents."

The present American Indians are often referred to in the Book of Mormon as God's people, a people whose forefathers God covenanted with to preserve their seed and inherit the Americas during these latter days. The Book of Mormon is the Book belonging to the American Indians, and it is their Book which contains their record and their destiny. Christ states in third Nephi, chapter 16; vs. 9 -- 12 that after the Indians (who are of the house of Israel) have been smitten and afflicted and slain, and have been cast out from among the Gentiles, and have been hated by them, and have become an hiss and a byword among them -- then at that day, will he remember his covenant, which he has made unto his people of the house of Israel, (the American Indians) and he will show the Indians that the Gentiles shall not have power over them.

"The Gentiles don't thank the American Indians for the big brotherly example of honor, in keeping their word, and setting an example of honor, the Gentiles didn't have. The Gentiles don't thank the American Indians for the corn, potatoes, and other foods they enjoy. They don't thank them for the Book of Mormon from which a man can get closer to God than any other Book.

The early Mormon people believed it was their responsibility to impart of their wealth and surpluses to the poor among the American Indians. The Mormon Doctrine and Covenants Section 42 vs. 39..."For I will consecrate of the riches of those who embrace my gospel among the Gentiles unto the poor of my people who are of the house of Israel" (the American Indians). This has not yet been done!

The original Mormon Apostles issued a proclamation in 1845 which reads; "Be it known...that we now hold the keys of the Priesthood and Kingdom which are soon to be restored unto them (the American Indians)...that the only salvation which remains for the Gentiles is for them to be identified in the same covenant and worship at the same altar with" the (American Indians).

In 1875 Orson Pratt a Mormon Apostle stated that many have flattered themselves that we the Mormons are the ones, it is not so. We have got to be the helpers, we have got to be those who cooperate with the Indians, for the Lord will have respect unto them, because they are of the blood of Israel, and the promises of their fathers extends unto them.

The Book of Mormon promises the American Indians that they are of the blood of Israel, descendants of the Jews, that the gospel of their forefathers as taught in the Book of Mormon will be given unto them by Jesus Christ in the latter days, and that they will inherit this land, and as God's covenant people be given great blessings.

"The prophet Joseph Smith, Brigham Young and early Mormon church leaders in public sermons, in plain bold words; explained that the American Indians were God's covenant people, of the blood of Israel-- which is a superior birthright to the Gentiles; and that the Mormons were to do all they possibly could for the Indians.

An apostle Mormon Church, Wilford Woodruff stated in 1855: I want to know now, if the Mormons can really and truly realize our true position with regard to the Lamanites (the American Indians), or do you consider them inferior. Do you (the membership of the church) ever read the Book of Mormon? If you do, do you believe and realize the truth of its sayings and also what the Lord revealed to the prophet Joseph Smith? These are the things that we have a our possession; we have them in the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants and in the History of Joseph Smith. Do you read them? If you lay them to heart as the things of God, you will feel that it is necessary to do our duty to our red brethren. When the priesthood was restored, I knew then that if it were not for the Israelites the Gentiles might go to hell and be damned. The Lord would not take much pains with us anyhow, were it not for the promised seed (the American Indians). Instead of them being inferior to us in birthright, they stand first in many instances, with regard to the promises of God in particular.

Brigham Young stated that what the Mormons did for the Indians, determined if the Mormon Gentiles went up or down.

Christ describes the polluted condition of the Gentiles of these latter days in third Nephi chapter 16 vs. 10 -- 12, and that when they would reject the fullness of his gospel, he states that he would remember his covenant with the Indians and bring the knowledge of the fullness of his gospel to the Indians and show the Indians that the Gentiles would not have power over you.

The Book of Mormon in Jacob Chapter 5; describes that the Gentiles who are polluting the Lord's vineyard -- will be pruned out of the Lord's vineyard (the Mormon Church) and he will bring in the natural branches, the American Indians, to save the life still left in the roots of the Lord's vineyard (the Mormon religion). The Mormon Doctrine And Covenants section 10 vs. 60 -- 62; states that the Lord will bring to light to the American Indians the great works their forefathers did in the Book of Mormon and they will not deny the Mormon religion, but will build it up and bring to light the true points of God's doctrines, which is the only doctrine in the Lord. D & C section 14 vs. 9 through 10 quote: "Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the son of living God, who created the heavens and the earth, a light which cannot be hid in darkness: wherefore I must bring forth the fullness of my gospel from the Gentiles unto the house of Israel" (the American Indians). The prophet Joseph Smith stated that if the Mormon Gentiles would not serve God; the Lord would pass them by, and get a people who would (the American Indians), as God would have a people to serve in these last days: but he feared that the Mormons would seek to justify themselves from one step to another until they were clear down to hell. Brigham Young stated that when the Lord brought in the Indians to save the Mormon religion we would be the servants and the Indians the Masters.

"God wants the American Indians to know of his words to them as recorded in the Book of their fathers, the Book of Mormon, also in the Mormon Doctrine and Covenants, and the revelations the Lord gave the prophet Joseph Smith concerning them. Mormon Church apostle Orson Pratt in 1855 stated if the Mormons did'nt make an all-out effort to take such knowledge to the Indians and help them as much as they possibly could, the Mormons would be guilty of being at ease in Zion, as foretold by Isaiah and in the Book of Mormon. Second Nephi chapter 28 vs. 21 states that the devil would lead a people in these last days, carefully down to hell, which he has lulled away into carnal security, saying "All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well." Vs. 24 states "Woe be unto him that is at ease in Zion! Woe be unto him that crieth: All is well". In Ether chapter 8 vs. 24, the Lord commands us in the last days to awake to our awful situation, the opposite of being at ease in Zion.

Moroni in Mormon chapter 8 vs. 35 -- 41 states that Jesus Christ showed him the Gentiles of these last days, and there are none save a few only, that are not lifted up in the pride of their hearts, unto all manner of iniquity. Everyone of their churches are polluted. Because of the pride of their hearts, they are pollutions, hypocrites, and teachers who sell themselves for that which will canker. They have polluted the Holy Church God, the Mormon Church, that they are ashamed of Christ, and seek the praise of the world. Instead of an endless happiness, they will receive a misery which never dies.

Therefore it is evident that it is time for the words of the Lord, as recorded in the Mormon Doctrine and Covenants, section 10 vs. 62 to be fulfilled, that he will bring to light his gospel, to the American Indians, which was lived by their fathers in the Book of Mormon, and they will not deny the Mormon religion, but will build it up, and bring to light the true points of God's doctrine and the only doctrine which is in the Lord.

As it states the L.D.S. Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their hearts, and they have not made the necessary effort to spread the knowledge the Lord gave them to take to the American Indians. The American Indians can themselves spread the truth to the rest of the American Indians, that they are God's covenant people, God's chosen seed, the blood of Israel, descendants of the Jews, and God's promises to them in these latter days. It states in the Book of Mormon that none can have the power to bring it unto light, save it be given him of God. For God wills that it shall be done with an eye single to his glory, or the welfare of the ancient and long dispersed covenant people of the Lord (the American Indians).

Mormon apostle Orson Pratt stated "We (the Mormons) have forgotten the forlorn condition of the sons Joseph, the American Indians. We have forgotten the predictions of the Holy prophets among their fathers, who so earnestly prayed to the most High for themselves, and their children to the latest generation, whose prayers have been recorded in the records of eternity, and preserved in the archives of heaven, to be answered upon the head of their posterity in the last days. We have forgotten these things and are dwelling at ease in Zion, and neglecting the great redemption of Israel (the American Indians).

We have learned something, we are in possession of knowledge concerning the sons of the forest. Shall we therefore dwell at ease and allow the Indians to remain in ignorance of the great truths that we are in possession of concerning them? If so, woe be to these people (the L. D. S. Gentiles), or any other people that are entrusted with the sacred things committed to our charge, and who do not use them, for the redemption of those that are unacquainted with this knowledge. How do you think their fathers would feel to see their descendants, without the knowledge of God and their ancestors? And then turn and see a people so careless and so much at ease that they used scarcely any exertion to impart the heavenly knowledge unto them (the American Indians).

And if we do not accomplish this work of bringing this knowledge to the Israelites ( the American Indians) we shall be accounted as salt that has lost its savor, and therefore is no longer good for anything but to be cast out and be trodden under the feet of Israel, or our enemies. Who so will not extend the hand of mercy to help the Indians, will go down and lose their influence with God and all good men."

Book of Mormon, second Nephi, chapter 9, vs. 41: "Behold the way for man is narrow, but it lieth in a straight course before him, and the keeper of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there, and there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name."

Vs. 42, "and who so knocketh, to him will he open, and the wise, and the learned, and they that are rich, who are puffed up because of their learning, and their wisdom, and their riches...yea, they are they whom he despiseth; and save they shall cast these things away, and consider themselves as fools before God, and come down in the depths of humility, he will not open unto them."

Vs. 43, "But the things of the wise and the prudent shall be hid from them forever -- yea, that happiness which is prepared for the Saints."

Vs. 53, "And behold how great to covenants of the Lord, and how great his condescension's unto the children of men; and because of his greatness, and his grace and mercy, he has promised unto us (the American Indians forefathers) that our seed (children) shall not utterly be destroyed, according to the flesh, but that he would preserved them; and in future generations they shall become a righteous branch to the House of Israel. "That future time that is promised to the American Indians is now. According to the covenants and promises God made to their fathers, the American Indians are to be brought to the knowledge of their fathers and covenants God made for their children, the American Indians of these last days.

The American Indians are to know that their choice birthright Is of the House of Israel, and they are God's covenant people numbered in the first covenant. There is a second great work to take place in the Mormon religion to convince the Lamanites (commonly called American Indians) of the Book of Mormon which has already gone forth among them. The field is ready to harvest and the labors are few.

God states who so ever would labor in the harvest, to do so with all his might. God tells us to be belIeving as in times of old. The American Indian forefathers in the Book of Mormon times, or believers in God, and had his power with them, and performed good works, and their hopes and prayers were for their children of these last days, who are the American Indians. They foresaw the bondage of these times for their children, and tried hard to leave the message in the Book of Mormon for their children to know that they are God's covenant people Of the House of Israel. If they will turn to God in the true religion that their fathers lived, and Joseph Smith, God's servant restored again on the earth, God's power will be with them

Book of Mormon, third Nephi, chapter 16, vs. 12; "And I will show unto thee, 0 House of Israel, that the Gentiles shall not have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, 0 House of Israel and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fullness of my gospel".

Know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Know about the promises made to the American Indians forefathers in the Book of Mormon for their children of these latter days. Know how great the covenant God made with them for their children of this very time is.

Third Nephi, chapter 29, vs. 9; "Ye need not suppose that ye can turn the right hand of the Lord unto the left (stop the hand of the Lord), that he may not execute judgment unto the fulfilling of the covenant which he hath made unto the House of Israel (the American Indians).

"The writers of the book of Mormon wrote for the benefit of their seed: the present day American Indians. Second Nephi chapter 25 vs. 8, quote: "... and confined the words unto my own people; for I know that they shall be of great worth unto them in the last days; for in that day shall they understand them..."

Second Nephi chapter 28 vs. 2, quote: "the things which shall be written out of the book shall be of great worth unto the children a men; and especially unto our seed, which is a remnant Of the House of Israel."

Second Nephi chapter 30 vs. 3, quote: "... There shall be many which shall believe the words which are written and they shall carry them forth into the remnant of our seed."...... "And then shall the remnant of our seed know concerning us, how that we came out from Jerusalem and that they are descendants of the Jews".

Third Nephi chapter 29 vs. 3, quote: "Yea, and ye need not any longer hiss nor spurn nor make game of the Jews nor any of the House of Israel; for behold, the Lord remembereth his covenant unto them, and he will do unto them according to that which he has sworn." Verse 9 states none can stop the Lord "unto the fulfilling of the covenant which he hath made unto the House of Israel". Chapter 30; The Lord calls on the Gentiles of the last days to hear the words of Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, and turn from their wickedness and be numbered with God's people who are of the House of Israel.

Second Nephi chapter 29, verse 4, of the Book of Mormon states the Gentiles don't thank the Jews for the Bible, the same can be applied to the L. D. S. Gentiles for not being grateful to the present day American Indians for the Book of Mormon.

Those who believe the Book of Mormon, believe as Christ states in the book of Mormon, that it shouldn't be hid under a bushel basket, but the light should shine to light up the American Indian's house.

"The American Indians were the original "Mormons" on this continent. They possessed vast libraries of scriptures and records, preserved for their descendants. They had exactly same true religion as revealed by God to Joseph Smith in this latter day.

Quote; second Nephi 3, 12.

Wherefore, the fruit of thy loins (the forefathers of the American Indians) shall write (the Book of Mormon); and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write (the Bible); and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together, unto the confounding of false doctrines and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins (the American Indians), and bringing them to the knowledge of their fathers in the latter days, and also to knowledge of My Covenants, saith the Lord.

The ancient prophet Mormon, the Father of Moroni, had been entrusted with all of the sacred records of his forefathers, engraved on metallic plates. New plates were made by Mormon, on which he wrote, from the more ancient books, and abridged history of the nation, incorporating therewith many revelations, prophecies, the gospel, etc.. These new plates were given to his son Moroni to finish the history. And all the ancient plates Mormon deposited in the hill Cumorah, about 384 years A.D.. When Moroni about 36 years after, made the deposit of the book entrusted to him, he was without a doubt, inspired to select a department of the hill separate from the great sacred depository of the numerous volumes hid up by his father. The particular place in the hill, where Moroni secreted the book, was revealed by the angel, to the prophet Joseph Smith, to whom it was delivered in September, of 1827. But the grand repository of all the numerous records of the ancient nations of the Western continent was located in another department of the hill Cumorah, and its contents under the charge of holy Angels, until the day should come for them to be transferred.

This written history, of this people (the American Indians), is but a small part of the legacy and promises that they are to inherit.

Brigham Young related the following in 1877 that after Joseph Smith had translated the plates into the book of Mormon that he and Oliver Cowdery returned them to the hill Cumorah. "When Joseph Smith got the plates, the angel instructed him to carry them back to the hill Cumorah, which he did. Oliver Cowdery said that when Joseph and himself went there, the hill opened, and they walked into a cave, in which there was a large and spacious room. He said he did not think, at the time, whether they had the light of the sun or artificial light; but that it was just as light as day. They laid the plates on a table; it was a large table that stood in the room. Under this table there was a pile of plates as much as 2 feet high, and there were altogether in this room more plates than probably many wagon loads; they were piled up in the corners and along the walls."

This Sacred Written History of the American Indians is the most complete, and comprehensive of any peoples on the earth, and is yet to come forth from God, and be translated.

"The prophet Ezekiel was commanded to write upon two sticks, one for Judah; and one for Joseph after which he was commanded to join them together into one. When the children of Israel should make inquiry of what these two united writings of Judah and Joseph meant, he was to say unto them, that the Lord God would join the writings of Joseph with those of Judah. Immediately after, he would take the children of Israel and gather them in on every side and bring them into their own land. The writings of Judah refers to the Bible. The Book of Mormon is a brief, but faithful history of a branch of the tribe of Joseph (the American Indians).

We learn from the Bible that Jacob confers on Joseph a greater land than the land promised to the Jews (Genesis 49: 26). According to the Book of Mormon all of the great Western continent was given to the remnant of Joseph as their land of promise.

Mormon apostle Parley P. Pratt in an 1851 address to the American Indians said; "You are a branch of the House of Israel. You are descended from the Jews, or rather more generally, from the tribe of Joseph, which Joseph was a great prophet and ruler in Egypt." Early church leaders were anxious for the opportunity to convert the Indians, and stressed that the American Indians had to be converted before the foretold gathering of Israel.

Isaiah, chapter 60, foretells of the wealth, beauty and magnificence of the cities of Zion and Jerusalem: "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee and his glory shall be seen upon thee... They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, and that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation; I the Lord will hasten it in his time.

"In the Book of Mormon, nearly 2000 years ago, when Christ came to the forefathers of the American Indians to establish his church among them, he ordained twelve Apostles.

Third Nephi 28 verse 4 -- 7, "and when he had spoken unto them, he turned himself unto the three, and said unto them: what will ye that I should do unto you, when I am gone unto the Father?

"And they sorrowed their hearts, for they durst not speak unto him the thing which they desired.

"And he said unto them: Behold, I know your thoughts, and ye have desired the thing which John, my beloved, who was with me in my ministry, before that I was lifted up by the Jews, desired of me.

"Therefore, more blessed are ye, for ye shall never taste of death; but ye shall live to behold all the doings of the Father unto the children of men, even until all things shall be fulfilled according to the will of the Father, when I shall come in my glory with the powers of heaven.

There are many accounts of these men appearing to different tribes. They speak to them in their own languages, and give them instructions. They come when least expected as humble men, sometimes asking for a meal. They are as the Angels of God. They shall minister unto the scattered tribes. They can show themselves to whom so ever it seemeth them good. Therefore, great and marvelous works shall be wrought by them before the great and coming day when all people must surely stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

American Indians should be aware of these three ancients, along with John the Revelator, who will be among them in these last days, to help, and to prepare them for their promised blessings as God's covenant people.

"Book of Mormon, third Nephi, chapter 20, verse 22 quote "And behold, this people (the American Indians) will I establish in this land, unto the fulfilling of the covenant which I made with your Father Jacob; and it shall be a New Jerusalem. And the powers of heaven shall be in the midst of this people; yea, even I will be in the midst of you."

Verse 25 quote "And behold, ye are the children of the prophets; and ye are of the house of Israel; and ye are of the covenant which the Father made with your fathers, saying unto Abraham: and in thy seed shall all of the kindreds of the earth be blessed."

Ether, chapter 13, verse 8 quote "Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph (the American Indians) shall be built upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they (the American Indians) shall build up a holy city unto the Lord, like unto the Jerusalem of old; they shall no more be confounded, until the end come when the earth shall pass away."

Verse 10, quote "And then cometh the New Jerusalem; and blessed are they who dwell therein,... And they who are numbered among the remnant of the seed of Joseph (the American Indians), who were of the house of Israel."

Third Nephi, chapter 21, verse 22 states if the Gentiles will repent and hearken unto Christ's words and harden not their hearts, they shall come in unto the covenant, and be numbered among the remnant of Jacob (the American Indians) of these last days, unto whom the Lord has given this land for their inheritance."

Verse 23 quote "And they (the Gentiles) shall assist My people, the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel as shall come, that they may build a city, which shall be called The New Jerusalem."

In the Mormon Doctrine and Covenants, section 84, a revelation given on September 22nd, and 23rd, 1832 to Joseph Smith, states, that the New Jerusalem would be built on this continent before that generation of 1832 shall completely pass away. Which means real soon now, the American Indians will build the predicted New Jerusalem.

"Book of Mormon, Mormon, chapter 8, vs. 21 -- 22 quote "and he that shall breathe out wrath and strifes against the work of the Lord, and against the covenant people of the Lord who are of the House of Israel (meaning the American Indians), and shall say: we will destroy the work of the Lord, and the Lord will not remember his covenant which he hath made unto the House of Israel (the American Indians) -- the same is in danger to be hewn down and cast into the fire;"

"for the eternal purposes of the Lord shall roll on, until all his promises shall be fulfilled".

Verse 23 "yea, behold I say unto you, that those saints who have gone before me, who have possessed this land (America), shall cry, yea, even from the dust will they cry unto the Lord; and as the Lord liveth he will remember the covenant which he hath made with them".

Verse 24 "and he knoweth their prayers, that they were in behalf of their brethren (the American Indians of these latter days)".

God made a covenant with the American Indians fathers for their children of these latter days, and he will fulfill his promises to them.

The Gentiles would do well to heed the warnings to them in the book of Mormon, and repent and make amends to the Indians for wronging them, while they still have time left to do so.

"The Book of Mormon Ether, 4 -- 14

Come unto me, 0 ye House of Israel, and it shall be made manifest unto you how great things the Father hath laid up for you, from the foundation of the world;

D & C section 88 verse 87 -- 93

For not many days hence and the earth shall tremble and reel to and fro as a drunken man; and the sun shall hide his face, and shall refuse to give light; and the moon shall be bathed in blood; and the stars shall become exceedingly angry, and shall cast themselves down as a fig that falleth from off a fig tree....

Then cometh the testimony of earthquakes, that shall cause groanings in the midst of her, and men shall fall upon the ground and shall not be able to stand. And also cometh the testimony of the voice of thunderings, and the voice of lightning's, and the voice of tempests, and the voice of the waves of the sea heaving themselves beyond their bounds. And all things shall be in commotion; and surely, men's hearts shall fail them; for fear shall come upon all people. And Angels shall fly through the midst of heaven, crying with a loud voice, sounding the trump of God, saying: Prepare ye, prepare ye, 0 inhabitants of the earth; for the judgment of our God is come.... And immediately there shall appear a great sign in heaven, and all people shall see it together.

Pearl of Great Price Moses 7 verse 61

.... And great tribulation shall be among the children of men, but my people will I preserve;

Ether 13 verse 8

Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built upon this land ; and it shall be a land of their inheritance and they (Lamanites) shall build up a holy city unto the Lord like unto the Jerusalem of old;...

Pearl of Great Price Moses 7 verse 62, 64 -- 65

.... An Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking for the time of my coming; for there shall be my Tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a new Jerusalem.

And there shall be mine abode, and it shall be Zion, which shall come forth out of all the creations which I have made: and for the space of thousand years the earth shall rest. And it came to pass that Enoch saw the day of the coming of the son of man, in the last days, to dwell on the earth in righteousness for the space of a thousand years.

"About 1600 years ago a forefather of the American Indians spoke in the Book of Mormon, to his children, the American Indians of this latter-day. Mormon, chapter 7, vs. 1 -- 3 quote; "And now, behold, I would speak somewhat unto the remnant of this people who are spared, if it so be that God may give unto them my words, that they may know of the things of their fathers; yea, I speak into you, (the American Indians of this latter-day) ye remnant of the house of Israel; and these are the words which I speak:

"Know ye that ye are of the house of Israel.

"Know ye that ye must come unto repentance, or ye cannot be saved.

Verses 5 -- 10 quote; "know ye that ye must come to the knowledge of your fathers, and repent of all your sins and iniquities, and believe in Jesus Christ, that he is the son of God, and that he was slain by the Jews, and by the power of the Father he hath risen again, whereby he hath gained the victory over the grave; and also in him is the sting of death swallowed up.

"And he bringeth to pass the resurrection of the dead, whereby man must be raised to stand before his judgment seat.

"And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of happiness which hath no end.

"Therefore repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus, and lay hold upon the Gospel of Christ, which shall be set before you, not only in this record but also in the record which shall come unto the Gentiles from the Jews, which record shall come from the Gentiles unto you.

"For behold, this is written for the intent that ye may believe that; and if ye believe that ye will believe this also; and if ye believe this, ye will know concerning your fathers, and also the marvelous works which were wrought by the power of God among them.

"And ye will also know that ye (the American Indians) are a remnant of the seed of Jacob; therefore ye are numbered among the people of the first covenant; and if it so be that ye believe in Christ, and are baptized, first with water, then with fire and with the Holy Ghost, following the example of our Savior, according to that which he hath commanded us, it shall be well with you in the day of judgment. Amen."
